Lepra is a specialist international leprosy charity, working to beat leprosy. Based in the UK, Lepra works directly with communities in Bangladesh, India and Mozambique to find, diagnose, treat and rehabilitate people affected by leprosy, helping them to overcome the disease and the stigma which surrounds it. We also work with people affected by lymphatic filariasis, a disease prevalent in the areas we work, which also attracts a terrible stigma. Every year, we change the lives of over a million people, either directly through healthcare or through our health education programmes. Each quarter, we publish Leprosy Review, the only printed English language journal on leprosy. (See also LEPRA Society - leprasociety.org)
